ADL's Peer Leadership group organized the annual ADL Fall Food Drive.
Students collected almost 1,200 pounds of food items to benefit the Heavenly Pantry food shelf!
Reminder: Monday, Nov. 20, and Tuesday, Nov. 21, there will be no school on the two days prior to Thanksgiving Break. This is due to in-service training for teachers and staff. Please plan accordingly. The break runs Wednesday, Nov. 22-Friday, Nov. 24.
Every year, we wait expectantly for the first few days of school as they are so exciting and filled with an extra special kind of energy. This start has been no exception. We are so happy to be back in session with our Chargers, and to welcome all of our new students to ADL! We have several programmatic changes and updates this year, including our new STEAM unified arts program, the A World of Difference anti-bias education training, and expanded homeroom time to include personal enrichment and wellness opportunities for our students. It is going to be a great year!
This week students at Founders were lucky to have Bren Bataclan visit as an artist in residence! Bataclan worked with the students to design a mural that is featured in the school.
Students from Brussels, Belgium and Copenhagen, Denmark arrived on October 20 for a 10-day stay, visiting more than 60 EHS classes, and touring Burlington, and Vermont hot spots.
