What is a school "Annual Report Card"?
Federal legislation outlined in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), formerly known as No Child Left Behind and recently reauthorized as Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), outlines specific information that each school district must post annually in an Annual Report Card, including the following information.
- Student Achievement Data
- State Performance on the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP)
- School Accountability Determinations
- Educator Qualifications
- Per Pupil Expenditures
- Information on School Improvement/Continuous Improvement Plans
This information is updated annually and as new data, such as student performance on state assessments, is released publically.
If you have any questions or concerns about information outlined in the Essex Westford School District's Annual Report Card, please contact Amy Cole, Director of Curriculum at email@example.com.
