Creating a Culture of Respect in Learning Communities at Champlain College along with several schools from all over Vermont. It was an all day event that offered educational workshops in the morning and afternoon most led by students. Westford students, Shea Andrews and Rosie Whitney lead one of the afternoon workshops for other middle school students and staff. “I’m so impressed with the time and effort these two students put in to make the workshop engaging and a positive learning experience for those that attended.” School counselor, Stephanie Jones.

From the District: All students in grades 3-9 take the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) in spring. EWSD schools will administer SBAC March 13 - June 1. The new Vermont Science Assessment assesses grades 5, 8 and 11. The VTSA will occur April 1 – May 31. When Johannes Everse looks at a pile of wood, used robotics parts, and a discarded salad bar sneeze guard, he sees opportunity. As a culminating project to showcase his learning, Johannes set out to build a 3D concrete printer.
