Hello Everyone!

My name is Kellie Nerbak. I began working at Hiawatha Elementary in 2014. Over the past eight years, I have worked as an assistant in Kindergarten and 1st Grade. I absolutely loved working in a variety of classrooms while also getting to know students and families. I have patiently waited for the opportunity to have my own classroom here at Hiawatha because I cannot imagine teaching anywhere else. That time has finally come! I feel even more fortunate to be teaching Kindergarten because that is my true passion. Watching the monumental growth of students during this year is incredible. 

I live in Essex Junction with my husband and our adorable cat, Sweets. We have been busy renovating our house that we bought last year. I am so excited for the year and can’t wait to get to know all of my students and families. We are going to have so much fun together!
