Karen Reed

I am Karen Reed and I have been teaching music at Hiawatha for over 25 years! I think children's voices are the most beautiful sound in the world. I love seeing the children grow and learn to appreciate the beauty and power of music in their lives.

I live in Williston, just down the road from where I grew up, with my husband, Rick, our cat and dog. We have 3 grown children and we love spending time with them, Besides music (playing piano, flute, accompanying musicians, being a church musician, and listening to music), I love to be active and outside. I regularly swim, run and take lots of walks with my dog, Libby.

I love teaching music to children and can't imagine doing anything else!

Welcome to Ms. Reed's class!

Music classes are full of a variety of musical activities and the students do a great job exploring their voices, singing songs, playing singing games, doing rhythm work, playing instruments and learning ear training skills.

It is a joy to work with the children of Hiawatha School and help them grow as musical people! Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions.
