Prekindergarten at Essex Elementary School

The Essex Westford School District offers school-based prekindergarten programs at Essex Elementary School, Hiawatha Elementary School, Summit Street School, and Westford School.
Eligible students are at least 3 years old on September 1st.
Space is limited in our school-based programs, and placement is determined by a lottery draw each year.

2022-2023 School Year (Next Year)
- The pre-K lottery window for the 2022-2023 school year is now closed
- A random drawing lottery was held in March to determine placement, and initial placement letters were mailed to families in mid-April

TWO Morning Classrooms: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday, 7:45 - 10:45 a.m.
TWO Afternoon Classrooms: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday, 11:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
Universal Pre-K/Act 166 Funding

Act 166 funding covers 10 hours/week of tuition reimbursement for qualified, community-based, private prekindergarten programs. Please visit our Act 166 FAQs page for additional information.
Eligible students are at least 3 years old on September 1st.
