  • Turnitin.com:

    Use Turnitin to prevent plagiarism.  Teachers can also use this service to provide meaningful feedback to encourage original writing using drag-and-drop, voice, and text comments.

    Students:

    How to submit a paper:  

    New to Turnitin:

    1. If you are not already a Turnitin user, you'll need to create an account.
    2. Use a class ID and an enrollment password provided by your teacher.
    3. On the Turnitin website, select Create Account and select Student from the bottom of the page.
    4. Complete all of the profile fields.
    5. For email address use your school email.
    6. Create your own password.
    7. Select "I am not a robot"
    8. Click the "I Agree" button to successfully log into Turnitin.
    9. Once you are logged in, click on the class
    10. Click the Submit button next to your assignment to submit a paper.
    11. Upload your document.

    Student QuickStart Guide

    Already have a Turnitin account:

    1. You must log in with the email address and password that you had previously created.  (If you have forgotten your password then click on Reset Password)
    2. To join a new class, click on the Enroll in a Class tab.  Enter the Class ID and Password for the new class.  (Your class teacher have to give you this.) 
    3. Once you are logged in, click on the class.
    4. Click the Submit button next to your assignment to submit a paper.
    5. Upload your document.

    Teachers:

    New to Turnitin:

    1. To join an account as an instructor, you will need to join the institutional account.  Contact Smita Narechania via email or call at x7480 for the institutional access.
    2. Create a class and a password to get the class enrollment ID.
    3. Give the class enrollment ID and the class password to students to submit their paper to Turnitin.

    Already have a Turnitin account:

    2. 'CLASS COPY': The Class Copy feature allows you to copy a class from one term to the next.
