General Information around Preventing Sexual Abuse
Prevent Child Abuse Vermont is a statewide organization committed to continuing to be a strong voice for families in the hills, towns and cities of Vermont by fulfilling a mission of promoting and supporting healthy relationships between children and the people who care for them in order to eliminate child abuse and neglect. This link provides guides for families with topics ranging from healthy conversations about sexuality, to grooming signs and early clues of sexual abuse.

Background Information on Act 1
Act 1 is a law in Vermont that requires all instutions that care for children ensure employees are oriented and familiarized with the issues and reporting mandates of child abuse and child sexual abuse using materials recommended by the Agency of Human Services and the Department of Education.
