My name is Emily Coffrin and I am the art teacher at Thomas Fleming School. This is my fourth year teaching at Fleming. Prior to teaching art, I worked in the apparel industry as a technical designer. After working in fashion design, my career took a sharp turn and I stepped into the nonprofit sector supporting adults with autism and intellectual disabilities in finding and sustaining meaningful paid employment. These two paths inspired me to become an art teacher. I went back to school and received my master’s in art education. I value the arts and believe in the importance of nurturing creativity. My hope is that the only limit to your child’s dreams is their own imagination.
