  • Learning about Composting!

Posted by Colleen Stevens on 2/21/2020 6:00:00 AM

We learned that worms are so important to have compost and soil!  We learned lots of interesting facts such as what worms like to eat, how to tell which side is the head or tail of the worm, that worms do not have eyes, and that worms have 5 hearts!

  • 100th Day of School!

Posted by Colleen Stevens on 2/19/2020 5:00:00 AM

The children made art work out of construction paper number 100s, stacked 100 cups, and searched for 100 Hershey Kisses hiding in the room!  Once the kids found the chocolate kisses – before they could eat their pieces - they had to look at the bottom of each Hershey Kiss, and place the candy on the 100 number line on the matching number.  We then looked for patterns in the colors of the Hershey Kiss wrappers as well as in the numbers.
