With nearly 20 years of experience working in communications, media relations, and public relations for both nonprofit and for-profit businesses, Ben Dickie brings a unique perspective to the education field. Now in his eighth year (CCSU and then EWSD combined), he oversees the internal and external communication efforts for the District. 

 

Using strategic and on-brand storytelling, he is able to connect the 10 schools in the District with the families and community members that they serve through a variety of targeted outlets. 

 

Dickie earned both a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems, as well as his MBA from the University of Vermont. He is also in the process of earning a second Master's degree in Strategic Communication & Innovation from Texas Tech University.

 

Dickie helped create (and is currently the membership coordinator) the New England School Public Relations Association in 2021, which is a chapter of the National School Public Relations Association. 

The newest member of the EWSD Communications Department comes from previously managing the communication efforts at Essex High School. Joining the EWSD in 2019, Arielle has committed her time and skills to uncover the accomplishments being made inside classrooms. 

Her focus is on supporting and empowering schools to share their most cherished moments and greatest achievements with the Essex and Westford communities and beyond. 

Arielle earned her Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Vermont, and a Master's in Science in Higher Education Administration at Southern New Hampshire University.
