Hello!  I’m Mrs. Furniss!  I’m a third grade teacher at Hiawatha Elementary School! This is my 11th year teaching, my 8th being at Hiawatha! I grew up in Essex, and I’m so happy to continue to be a part of this lovely community!  I love working with children and helping them make the best of their school experiences!  I love watching children develop and helping to foster and grow their natural curiosities about the world and connections around them! I’m a true believer that every child will succeed!

I love spending time with my family, my husband and my two small children.  We all love to be outside together, exploring nature, going for hikes and having fun!   I also enjoy getting lost in a great book!

I’m looking forward to an extraordinary school year!
