Library News

  • January Classes

Posted by Kathy Lawrence on 12/20/2019

As I have in the past, we'll be using class time in January to integrate our work with the annual International Dinner.   This year's focus is on Europe, particularly Eastern European culture, so the majority of grade level work will reflect the literature and folk art of Slavic nations.

The start of the New Year is a great time to re-visit expectations and I am introducing a "peace space" that ties in with classroom work on the Zones of Regulation.  When children are able to regulate their emotions they are better able to learn.  We'll discuss tools and strategies that will be available to help while they are here in the library.
