EHS 2019 Presidential Scholars
On Monday, January 28, thirty Vermont high school students were recognized as Presidential Scholar Nominees for 2019. Three of those thirty students were from EHS, Lindsey Centracchio - Honorable mention Vermont Scholar for the Arts, Riley Allen - Vermont Presidential Scholar Award, and Henry Wu - Vermont Presidential Scholar Award for the Arts.

Grades 9-10 course registration meetings are taking place Feb 5-22. Meeting times were mailed home, and are 10 minutes long. Contact the Counseling office with questions about your meeting time.

Nordic Skiing Team Volunteers at Community Run
The Essex High School Nordic Ski Team volunteered on 11/10 at Run Your Can Off at Gilbrook Nature Center this weekend with Ski Rack and Fleet Feet in a community service run to raise food for the Local Food Shelf.

Japanese Delegation EHS Visit and Sister State Signing
On July 18th, 2018, Governor Hirai from the Tattori Prefecture signed a Sister State Agreement with Vermont Governor Phil Scott. EHS Principal, Rob Reardon, was there to welcome the Japanese Delegation and attend the celebratory ceremony.

EHS Junior Grace Lu Selected for 2018 Achievement in Writing
Congrats to EHS junior Grace Lu, who has been selected for a 2018 Achievement Award in Writing, given by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). The NCTE Achievement Awards in Writing is a school-based writing program established in 1957 to encourage high school students to write and to recognize some of the best student writers in the nation.

On Monday, April 9th, 20 students from Essex High School's Math League Team competed in, and won, their fifth and final meet of the season, clinching a seventh consecutive championship of the Greater Burlington Math League!
