  • EHS Students Perform at New England Music Festival

    EHS Students, Justin Lee, Grace Lu, Elizabeth Messier, Isabelle Petrucci, Henry Wu and Nathan Wu of the Essex High School Orchestra were selected by audition to perform with the 100 member Festival Orchestra at the New England Music Festival, March 21st-23rd.

  • EHS Wins VT State Drama Festival and Receives Standing Ovation at New England Drama Festival

    EHS will represent Vermont in the 2019 New England Drama Festival, hosted by the New England Drama Council (NEDC) and the Rhode Island Theatre Education Association (RITEA), April 15-17. EHS was chosen by the Vermont Drama Council as one of two representatives for the state to the New England festival. Essex performs Frankenstein, the famous thriller about the creation of a monster creature.

  • EHS Team Wins Academic WorldQuest

    On Saturday, March 23, an EHS team won the state competition for Academic WorldQuest 2019, edging out the team from SBHS. Students compete on their knowledge of current international politics, geography, global economics, history, and world cultures. Sponsored in Vermont by the Vermont Council of World Affairs.

    Both EHS Girls and Boys Hockey Teams swept the D-1 Hockey State Championships and skated away with another title. Congrats to both teams on hard won and well deserved victories!

  • EHS 2019 Presidential Scholars

    On Monday, January 28, thirty Vermont high school students were recognized as Presidential Scholar Nominees for 2019. Three of those thirty students were from EHS, Lindsey Centracchio - Honorable mention Vermont Scholar for the Arts, Riley Allen - Vermont Presidential Scholar Award, and Henry Wu - Vermont Presidential Scholar Award for the Arts.

  • Nordic Skiing Team Volunteers at Community Run

    The Essex High School Nordic Ski Team volunteered on 11/10 at Run Your Can Off at Gilbrook Nature Center this weekend with Ski Rack and Fleet Feet in a community service run to raise food for the Local Food Shelf.

  • Japanese Delegation EHS Visit and Sister State Signing

    On July 18th, 2018, Governor Hirai from the Tattori Prefecture signed a Sister State Agreement with Vermont Governor Phil Scott. EHS Principal, Rob Reardon, was there to welcome the Japanese Delegation and attend the celebratory ceremony.

  • EHS Junior Grace Lu Selected for 2018 Achievement in Writing

    Congrats to EHS junior Grace Lu, who has been selected for a 2018 Achievement Award in Writing, given by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). The NCTE Achievement Awards in Writing is a school-based writing program established in 1957 to encourage high school students to write and to recognize some of the best student writers in the nation.
