    Tim Yandow and Kristy Svarczkopf were recipients of the annual Essex Rotary Club Award. The award is given to students who practice service to others, work above self, participate in school events and have strong academic skills.

  • CAWD Students Earn 2nd Place - Distracted Driving Competition

    Congratulations to Cole Klimosky and Liam Swan for taking 2nd place in the Vermont Distracted Driving Design Competition. They were awarded their prize by Governor Phil Scott. Their animation earned them $500.

  • Natural Resource Mechanical Students Earn Medals

    Students in the Natural Resources Mechanical program earned 1st and 3rd place in the FFA (Future Farmers of America) Ag Mechanics competition. Colby McLaughlin placed 1st overall and Skyler Germaine placed 3rd overall.

  • CTE Students Win Big at Skills USA

    The Center for Technology, Essex (CTE) recently sent 90 students to the SkillsUSA State Competition. CTE Students won big with 50 medals in 28 different contests.

  • National Technical Honor Society 2019

    On March 20th, students at the Center for Technology received honors for their high achievement in their career and technical education fields. This years inductees excelled both in and out of the classrooms at CTE. NTHS students embody all of the attributes and talents needed to embrace a clear vision for tomorrow's workforce.

  • Engineering Student Builds 3D Printer

    When Johannes Everse looks at a pile of wood, used robotics parts, and a discarded salad bar sneeze guard, he sees opportunity. Johannes is an Engineering student at the Center for Technology and senior from South Burlington High School. As a culminating project to showcase his learning, Johannes set out to build a 3D concrete printer.

  • Vermont Presidential Scholar Nominees

    Jimmy Jiang, 12th grade student from CVU, CAWD 2 and ThaZin Aye, 12th grade student from Winooski, in Pro Foods 2 were recognized at the State House on January 28th as Vermont Presidential Scholar Nominees for "Excellence in CTE".
