EWSD Welcomes New Assistant Facilities Director

August 27, 2020
The Essex Westford School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Patrick Dattilio as the new Assistant Director of Facilities. This is a new position to the District, working under the Director of Facilities, Bruce Murdough.

The position will contribute to the strategic direction, leadership, and management of the overall department, while focusing on the planning, coordinating, evaluating, and supporting the work of district-wide custodians to ensure compliance with the District's cleaning and safety standards. The Assistant Director will play a central role in developing and delivering a comprehensive custodial training program to extend the positive impact this mission-critical service has across the entire district.

“We are excited to have Patrick join our team,” said Murdough. “Patrick’s strengths in this position will be an asset as we prepare for a strong and healthy start to the 2020-2021 school year.”

Dattilio is a graduate of Essex High School and holds a Bachelor's Degree from Johnson State College with a background in facilities management. Since 2003, he has been the Associate Director of Maintenance for Champlain Housing Trust. His broad experience in managing diverse affordable housing services across three counties makes him a great fit for this position.

In addition, Dattilio provided direct supervision and leadership for a 20+ person maintenance staff and technician team. He will be located in District Facilities, on the Educational Center campus.
