EHS Diploma/Yearbook Pick-up & Book Drop-off

All updates will be made on this Google Doc (link).

Dear Students and Parents/Guardians,

We have planned some opportunities for you to pick up items at school and to return books and other materials to EHS.. Our goal is to have a safe and healthy process.  With everyone working together to stay smart and stay safe we can achieve this easily.

Seniors:  Pick-up diplomas, yearbooks, graduation pictures, locker contents and drop off any EHS books and/or materials. Student’s names should be written inside all textbooks and sticky notes or labels used on other materials so as not to damage them. 2020 Grads (or legal guardians) must bring a picture ID to pick up their diploma.

All other grades:  Pick-up yearbooks, locker contents and may drop off any EHS books and materials. Student’s names should be written inside all textbooks and sticky notes or labels used on other materials so as not to damage them.

When:

Wednesday, July 22nd

10 am to 12 pm:  Last name begins with A - G

12 pm to 2 pm:  Last name begins with H - M

Thursday, July 23rd

10 am to 12 pm:  Last name begins with N - S

12 pm to 2 pm:  Last name begins with T - Z

If you can not make either day above, Tuesday, July 28th you can come anytime between 10am-2pm. If you would like to have your diploma mailed instead, please email hkennison@ewsd.org. Yearbooks and other materials can not be mailed.

How:  We will follow recommended practices outlined by the CDC and the VT AOE/DOH Health and Safety Guidelines for schools. It is important for the health and safety of everyone that this process is adhered to.

Students should come to the school counseling lobby entrance to pick up items. Books may be dropped off at outside book drop. A table outside will be available for drop off of any other school materials.

Students should not come to school if they:

    •  Show symptoms of COVID-19, such as a cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell
    • Have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days
    • Have a fever (temperature higher than 100.4°F)
    • Have a significant new rash, particularly when other symptoms are present
    • Have large amounts of nasal discharge in the absence of allergy diagnosis

Traffic cones will be utilized to help maintain social distancing while outside the building.

Please bring a face covering with you if possible. This can be a mask or bandana to cover your mouth and nose.  You should put it on as you approach the building. If you do not have one, a disposable mask will be provided for you.

No matter how great the temptation, we cannot allow large group socializing and congregating on the school property. We know this is hard on everyone but we all must follow the public health rules at this time.

If any family is uncomfortable coming on to campus at this time, please email JGoodrich@ewsd.org and we can make alternative arrangements.
