Parent Group Fundraising & Event Update
We have raised close to $6,000 from our GoFundMe, community donations and the bottle drive - thank you everyone! We have a few more “treat day” surprises planned between now and the end of the year. A few banners are in the works - one at high school, one at McGillicuddys 5 Corners and one at Jules on the Green. Thank you to our generous banner sponsors:
Timberlane Dental, The Essex Agency, KeyBank, SB Signs, McGillicuddys & Jules on the Green!
In addition to the banners, some of our funds will go to the senior class fund to help pay for special senior t-shirts that the students decided to order. A Senior Car Parade is tentatively scheduled for Saturday June 5 (time and more details to follow). Fundraising dollars will also help offset the cost of the “proud family” lawn signs.
Last but not least, we are hoping to use the bulk of the fundraising money on some sort of senior event! We are in discussions with the Essex Experience to see what is possible (we will still follow all COVID guidelines). We are looking at Sunday June 6th in the late afternoon/evening. Once we know about the school’s plans, then another option might be to support those events and/or figure out if there is a way for us to augment those activities in some way.
We know that folks are eager to know the plans - please know we are doing our best to pull everything together. As we know more, we anticipate that there will be more opportunities for parents to get involved and volunteer. Stay tuned for more information!
The Parents of EHS Class of 2021 Group is open to everyone! This is an informal group - independent from the school. You can find us on Facebook and join our group to post comments and see the latest news. If you are not on Facebook, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
