The Vermont State Science Olympiad Tournament was held at UVM on Apr 2. This competition gives teams of students the opportunity to build devices for on-site testing, study for core knowledge challenges, and prepare for rigorous hands-on lab experiments. Our team worked hard preparing for this event during our monthly STEM workshops. We are proud of all of them for their focus on improving their science skills. The following students received medals for their efforts:

1st place in Chemistry Lab: Adowyn Byrne and Wade Winter

1st place in Disease Detectives: Raquel Mattos-Canedo and Firdaus Muhammad

2nd place in Anatomy and Physiology: Fatima Khan

2nd place in Ornithology: Raquel Mattos-Canedo and Firdaus Muhammad

2nd place in Trajectory: Tanisha Gerg and Emmy Stapleton
