GLP Receives Grant Grant from CASIT - the Centro Attività Scolastiche Italiane - in conjunction with the Italian Ministry of Foreign affairs and the Consulate General of Italy of Boston

Essex High School's Global Leadership Program has received a grant from the Centro Attività Scolastiche Italiane (CASIT), in conjunction with the Italian Ministry of Foreign affairs and the Consulate General of Italy of Boston.
The grant will allow GLP to offer instruction in the Italian language on a pilot basis during the second semester of the academic year at EHS. Twenty-five students were accepted into the class which will begin on January 29.
Thank you to CASIT, the Consulate General of Italy in Boston, Professor Antonello Borra and the University of Vermont Department of Romance Languages, and the Vermont Italian Cultural Association (VICA) for their generous support of our application and receipt of this grant.
In the Global Leadership Program, students play a role in the design of the programming. This year, the introduction of this pilot class came about when GLP students indicated an interest in learning more about the Italian language and culture!
