EWSD Partners with YouthTruth for Climate Survey

December 15, 2021

Dear EWSD Community,

I am excited to share with you that the EWSD will be partnering with YouthTruth over the next two years as part of a climate survey project for students, staff, and families!

YouthTruth is a national nonprofit organization that supports hundreds of schools and districts across the county by conducting anonymous surveys on a school/district’s behalf. Research suggests that efforts to improve school culture and student achievement should be informed by family and staff perceptions as well as student perceptions.

Their surveys are research-based, produce action-oriented data, and will help us compare our results with grade-level, school-level, and district-level reports, but also to other similar schools on a regional and national level. The student, family, and staff feedback will fuel inclusive school improvement.

We will be surveying students online starting in third grade and up through high school, with the first edition taking place in April of 2022.

By looking at the unique perspectives of our students, families, and staff and making decisions based on what we learn, we hope to see a happier, healthier, school system on the path to higher academic achievement for all.

YouthTruth has worked with schools and school districts for the last 13 years, in 39 different states, and has surveyed over 1.6 million students.

Please reach out if you have any questions.
