02.26.21 School Budgets - What They Mean to You

Since the merger of the Essex Town, Essex Junction, and Westford schools to create the Essex Westford School District (EWSD) on July 1, 2017, the educational tax rates, without factoring in the impact of increasing home values, have declined 4.2% (FY17 verse FY22). When the merger incentive (from the State) is factored into this same equation, tax rates have decreased by 5.5%.

The Budget development process is continuing as the Administration presents its Fiscal Year 2022 budget to the Board at its bi-weekly meetings. As a reminder, all board presentations can be found by going to the EWSD.org website and clicking on the red "Budget" button, or by going to ewsd.org/budget.
