Help Your Community Grow Stronger!

Voices for Education (VFE) is group connected to the Essex Westford School District that aims to help engage the community around school matters and ensure that that everyone, including people who don’t usually have a say, has a voice in important decisions about our education system.

On Saturday, December 1 VFE will be hosting a community event (It Takes a Village: Voices for Equity & Belonging) and is looking to recruit facilitators for this important work! A facilitator helps groups have productive conversations, leading to positive community change.

Being trained to facilitate small group discussions and problem solve can be a very rewarding experience. You will get to know new people and learn valuable skills all while contributing to the well being of your community! Each facilitator will also receive a $100 gift card.

In partnership with local organizations, students, and school leaders, VFE would like to provide an opportunity for a diverse group of community members to come together to share their experiences and challenges living and working here, and to generate ideas about how to create a more welcoming, equitable community where all students and community members have an opportunity to succeed.

If you or someone you know might be interested, there will be a facilitator training session on Saturday, November 3 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Please reach out to Ben Dickie (bdickie@ewsd.org) if you have any questions or would like to sign up.
