During writing workshop, kids used all that they have learned during word study and writing to create cards and notes to share with someone they love.

During reading workshop, we have worked hard to get to know the characters in our books. We pay attention to what they do, how they feel and the things that they say. During independent reading, students used sticky notes to jot down character traits.

Our new math unit has us thinking about numbers beyond 100! We used our mathematical thinking to estimate how many popsicle sticks were in a clear plastic tub. Then we worked together to count them. Mathematicians used all that they know about place value to count some of the sticks. Students organized by groups of tens and ones.
