To prepare for our International Potluck in January, EL students worked with Miss G. and Ms. Pinto to create decorations.
Grades K/1
A kite called a koinobori is made to celebrate the holiday Children’s Day. The real Children’s Day is celebrated in Japan on the 5th day of May. It is a day set aside to respect children’s personalities and to celebrate their happiness.
Grades 2/3
Also called East Asian dragons, Dragons are symbols of power, strength and good luck in Chinese culture. Excellent and outstanding people are compared to a dragon.
