The EWSD will host a conversation and information session focused on school and community safety on Monday, April 2 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Essex High School cafeteria.
Albert D. Lawton, Essex High School, and Essex Middle School teamed up to help raise money and awareness for a good cause on February 9.
The Olympics were a school-wide event designed to promote school unity by spending time together as a school community.
With the winter weather upon us, the parking lot and drop off area can be a treacherous place in spite of the early morning efforts of our district maintenance team. We have seen improvements in the drop off and pick up process since the beginning of the year. However, we have continued to hear some concerns about student and staff safety at these times due to a small number of drivers who are not following the expected drop off and pick up procedures.
Nearly 90 students, parents, community members and employees were in attendance and took part in conversations around how to make our communities a safer place to live and learn.
EWSD Director of Student Support Services Erin Maguire has been named the President Elect for the Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE). CASE is the primary national organization representing Special Education Administrators across the country as well as internationally.
In the EWSD, staff members at each school contribute to our community and help make our schools a better place. To highlight their efforts, we have created a new monthly feature called ‘Support Staff Spotlight.’ Pam Blake, the Registrar at EHS, is the first to be featured!
