Hi First Grade Families!

I am so excited to share the upcoming school year with you! I am honored to have each and every one of you in my class this year and know that we are going to have a year filled with excitement, smiles, and lots of learning!

This year will be my third year at Summit Street School and my 15th year as a classroom teacher. My teaching journey has led me to teach every grade from 1st to 5th grade in three different states (Vermont, Illinois, and Virginia). Having grown up in Vermont, I was so happy when the opportunity arose for my family to move back a few years ago! I'm am excited to be teaching my favorite grade level in my favorite state!

When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family. We have two children and a golden retriever puppy named Buddy. Our family loves to spend time exploring all of the nature our beautiful state has to offer. In the warmer months, we enjoy riding bikes, swimming, and gardening. In the cooler months, we enjoy building snow forts and skiing. Regardless of the weather, we love to play board games and read as a family! I can't wait to hear about all of your favorite things as we go through the school year!
