  • EHS 2019 Presidential Scholars

    On Monday, January 28, thirty Vermont high school students were recognized as Presidential Scholar Nominees for 2019. Three of those thirty students were from EHS, Lindsey Centracchio - Honorable mention Vermont Scholar for the Arts, Riley Allen - Vermont Presidential Scholar Award, and Henry Wu - Vermont Presidential Scholar Award for the Arts.

  • Course Registration Meetings Feb 5-22

    Grades 9-10 course registration meetings are taking place Feb 5-22. Meeting times were mailed home, and are 10 minutes long. Contact the Counseling office with questions about your meeting time.

  • Nordic Skiing Team Volunteers at Community Run

    The Essex High School Nordic Ski Team volunteered on 11/10 at Run Your Can Off at Gilbrook Nature Center this weekend with Ski Rack and Fleet Feet in a community service run to raise food for the Local Food Shelf.

    2/25, 10am-3pm, departing from Maple Street Rec Center.

    Join us for an active day of hiking! This high-school only trip will hike the Duxbury Window Trail, a 3 mile trail good for all skill levels. Get outside and try something new! Participants are responsible for dressing in appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear, snowshoes will be provided. $3 registration fee. Co-hosted by Essex CHIPS and EJRP - Sign up online: ejrp.org/schoolageprograms

  • Fatima Kahn wins Essex Rotary Contest. Standing with three others holding award.  EHS's Fatima Khan Wins Essex Rotary's Annual Speech Contest

    EHS freshman Fatima Khan won the Essex Rotary’s Annual Speech Contest on Wednesday, January 30 with her speech about “Service Over Self.” Khan won $100 and will represent the Rotary at the next level in March while competing against the Colchester/Milton winner.  Pictured left to right are junior Shristi Rai, Fatima Khan, freshman Iris Hsiang, and Rotarian Amy Jackman.
