The GSA group meets on Mondays and Thursdays 7:30-8:00 in room 160 (the Bistro). Every student is welcome. Social distancing will be expected.
Attention 6th graders! Vermont Student Assistance Corporation invites Vermont students in grades K-6 to draw a picture of a job they are curious about … and get a chance at free takeout and $200 (or more!) in VT’s 529 College savings plan. Guidance is seeking Peer Leaders who are passionate about making EMS as safe, welcoming and supportive as possible. The goal of the A World of DifferenceⓇ Program is to promote understanding and respect; and in doing so, empower young people to facilitate a welcoming and inclusive school community in which racial, cultural and other human differences are respected and valued. The Tween Center in 5 Corners in Essex Junction is open. Come to the office at a free moment for paperwork in order to go. The hours are 3:30-5:30 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Bus #11 will let you out at EHS and you can walk from there or take a free ride on GMT orange-silver route which you can get on at the corner of Sandhill and Founders roads.
An annual test of this system is scheduled to take place on Monday, October 19 at 6 p.m. At that time, families will receive a brief message from the system based upon contact information provided to the schools.
