ADL had a team of three 8th graders and one 7th grader compete in the Junior Iron Chef Competition on Saturday, March 14. This was the first time ADL had competed in this event.
The students took home the coveted “Crowd Pleaser” award, which is given to the team whose dish has the best overall flavor, texture, and color.

The Equity Advisory Committee (EAC) is a collaborative group established by the District to support school-based Equity Teams, provide recommendations and feedback, and help guide the implementation of the District’s equity policy and action plan. The EAC is currently seeking one community or staff member to join the committee. On Thursday, March 26, the Essex Westford School District will host its annual Fine Arts Night: Celebrating Creative Minds. 🎨🎭🎵 This District-wide showcase at Essex High School brings together nine schools to celebrate students' artistic achievements in grades K-12. The event transforms the campus into a multi-disciplinary arts hub. Visitors can explore 2-D and 3-D visual art galleries, student-film presentations, and live performances.

During National School Board Recognition Month, we want to extend a sincere thank you to the EWSD School Board for your time, leadership, and dedication to our schools. Your commitment to students, staff, and the greater EWSD community helps shape strong schools and a bright future for all. We are grateful for the countless hours, thoughtful decisions, and steady guidance you provide. Thank you for serving our community and supporting public education.
Families can now complete the form to request a spot in an EWSD prekindergarten classroom for the 2026–27 school year. Eligible children must live in Essex Junction, Essex Town, or Westford and be at least 3 years old by 09.01.26; programs are half-day, four days per week, with transportation provided by families.
