Students eating lunch

As part of its efforts to ensure kids have access to healthy meals during the summer months, the Essex Westford School District (EWSD) is thrilled to announce its summer meals sites will be serving kids and teens at the following locations (menu below):

  • Maple Street Park Pool Concessions

    • Breakfast from 9-11 a.m. (Monday-Friday)

    • Lunch from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.  (Monday-Friday)

    • Lunch only from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. (Weekends)

  • Little One's University

    • Breakfast from 9-9:30 a.m. (Monday-Friday)

    • Lunch from 11:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. (Monday-Friday)

Meals are free for all children 18 and under. The USDA has pulled back many of the COVID waivers we were utilizing, which has significantly impacted our summer operations. Most notably, meals must be consumed on-site (no grab-and-go), and we will have fewer open sites available than we've had in years past. Despite this, we have worked very hard to get as much approved as possible!

The EWSD Summer Meals program is funded by the USDA and run by school districts and local organizations. We are always happy to see you, but there may be more convenient locations closer to where you live. Families can visit USDA’s meal finder website (fns.usda.gov/meals4kids), or call 211 to find nearby summer meal sites, along with their operating days and times.
