The EWSD Music Department presents the Band Prism Concert! 🎻🎷 Students from grades 7-12 will be performing together on Tuesday, October 13, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the EHS Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.
🗓️ The EWSD Special Education Parent Advisory Council will host a virtual meeting on Monday, October 12, beginning at 6 p.m. All are invited to attend. During this meeting, you will hear updates from the EWSD administration, identify priorities for the year ahead, and discuss what matters most to the EWSD community. FMS held its first school-wide read-in of the year last week. All students and teachers took time out of their classrooms to quietly read their own books together. 📖
Our EWSD Facilities team recently completed Stop the Bleed training through a partnership with Essex Rescue and UVM Medical Center. This hands-on training gives our staff the knowledge and skills to respond to serious bleeding emergencies and help keep one another and our students safe until additional help arrives.

Founders Memorial School recently won the Gold Excellence in Worksite Wellness Award. The Vermont Governor’s Award for Excellence in Worksite Wellness was developed by the Vermont Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and presented in partnership with the Vermont Department of Health to employers across the state to create a standard of excellence for worksite wellness initiatives. These annual honors provide an opportunity for the governor and health commissioner to thank businesses and organizations for their efforts to support the health of Vermonters and make Vermont a great place to live and work.

As we settle into the school year, a friendly reminder that EWSD school grounds, including fields and playgrounds, are not open to the public during the school day.
