We are excited to welcome a new class of learners to the Essex Westford School District! Kindergarten registration for the 2026–27 school year is now open. If your child will be five years old on or before September 1, 2026, they are eligible to enroll in our full-day kindergarten program.
Getting registered is easy! Here’s what families need to do:
If your child is not already enrolled with the EWSD, please visit our kindergarten website and click on the ‘Register for Kindergarten’ button at the bottom of the page to complete a pre-registration form. If your child currently attends an EWSD pre-K program or is registered with EWSD to access Act 166 funding, please log in to your existing PowerSchool account
Complete the online kindergarten registration forms
Look for a Letter in the Spring: This will provide information about kindergarten screening day, a special opportunity for your child to meet staff and for families to connect with the school.
Look for Summer Updates: Over the summer, you will receive classroom placement information and other important details to help your child prepare for the first day of school.
