The Paint Our Story event was part of a successful series of large and small events planned and supported by the EWSD Multilingual Advisory Council that took place this year. Artist and EWSD Multilingual Liaison Julio Desmont led a group of EWSD families and staff in creating a beautiful mural. The mural surfaces the story of how we each bring our unique, lived experiences towards the center of our community, and how the community also supports us. 🎨🖌️
The last day of school will be on Monday, June 15, and it will be a half-day.
Westford Kindergarteners connected previous learning about weather to their current focus on force and motion. They read The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind and connected William's powerful story to building climate hope. Like the wind, we are a powerful force, too. The children said that one way we can build climate hope is by using recycled materials in our building space. Through hands-on testing, building, and PLAY, the scientists explored key vocabulary: force, motion, weight, balance, ramp, slope, speed, direction, and friction! >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ii1RDoiQMso
Reminder: There will be no school on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.
The date for CTE Recognition Night this year is set for June 11, starting at 6:30 p.m. Recognition Night is a time to honor and celebrate the accomplishments of our 11th and 12th-grade students. The ceremony will be in the ice rink, and family admission tickets will be handed out to students closer to the date. Beltrami Studios will be taking photos again this year, and the event will be recorded for viewing.
