Students and Advisors from the Center for Technology, Essex took part in the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference June 19-23, in Atlanta, Georgia. 

Fourteen Center for Technology, Essex (CTE) students and five staff members traveled to participate in the week-long event featuring national-level competitions in various skills areas. 

Our CTE students performed very well on this national stage; earning two gold medals! In addition, eight students placed in the top ten and four in the top twenty. Excellent results, given that students were competing against the state champions nationwide.

  • Emma Blow and Garrett Sample: Web Design and Development 

  • Finn Bright and Hayden Pine: Interactive Application and Video Game Development

  • Javante Williams: Architectural Drafting 

  • Cassandra  Guillemette: Dental Assisting (GOLD)

  • Sama Pardis (College): Dental Assisting

  • Landon Emmons, James Pierce, and Stephen Rogers: Engineering Technology-Design

  • Cayden Tucker: Technical Drafting
