On October 19, ten EHS students were inducted into the school’s first-ever Japanese National Honor Society (JNHS), pledging to promote friendship and understanding between Japan, the United States, and beyond.
Honorary guest and new GLP Leader, Cyrus Dudgeon, presented the certificates to the inductees. Superintendent Holodick, along with 18 guests from Tottori, Japan, and their host families from Essex High School and Burlington High School, joined in celebrating this exciting milestone.
JNHS Co-President Rachel Mitchell shared her excitement:
“It felt great to finally get everyone together to receive this honor. It was also awesome that we got to include the exchange students. I'm happy to be part of this society, and I can’t wait to get it started!”
おめでとうございます! Congratulations to all of our new JNHS members! Parker Carter, Alaina Christiaanse, Emma Egan, Owen Kolovos, Jackson Kuerth, Ben Lang, Tessa Mayer, Rachel Mitchell, Olivia Sharp, Liam Thomits, & Ema Dittmar (Jr advisor)
