The EWSD school board recognized Essex High School wrestlers Brayden Buchanan, Carter Jonas, Rowan Danaher, Joseph Gershon, and Grace Miller for their outstanding performance at the 2026 Vermont State and New England Championships.
Highlights included individual state titles for Buchanan and Miller, with Buchanan earning "Outstanding Wrestler" honors and Miller, Gershon, and Buchanan qualifying for the New England regional tournament. The team's collective efforts secured Essex a top-four ranking among Vermont schools.
