Scarlett Cannizzaro

Congrats to Essex High School's Scarlett Cannizzaro, who was officially recognized as a Vermont Presidential Scholar in the Arts at a ceremony on March 16! It was hosted at the Statehouse in Montpelier with students from all over Vermont. Cannizzaro was one of only two students recognized in the state in the Arts category.

The Vermont Presidential Scholars Program recognizes graduating high school seniors who show outstanding scholarship, leadership, and service to their communities. This year, 10 scholars have been chosen in the general category, five scholars in the Career Technical Education (CTE) category, and two scholars in the Arts. These students were among a pool of nominees for this recognition, submitted by their school communities, and ultimately chosen as recipients by a selection committee.
