ADL French students participated in a two-week-long music tournament sponsored by Roxxem and Manie Musicale featuring 8 French pop songs. They earned points by playing games both in class and on their own and worked hard.
EMS French teacher, Heather Covillon, and her classes also participated. Students were listening to French, learning songs and their lyrics, and having fun. They learned a little about the artists and where they were from as well. Out of 7,000 students, the following EWSD students scored:
- 19th place, 6th grader Jenny To
- 20h place, 6th grader Jessica
- 22nd place, 8th grader Roland
- 26th place, 8th grader Sebastian
These four students represent 3 classes who scored 10th, 9th, and 8th respectively out of 348 classes. Mrs. Covillon's top class (6th graders) from EMS placed 5th and 6th overall!
