One group removed invasive species with Winooski Valley Park District. Another group worked at the Ethan Allen Homestead Museum weeding and cleaning up a historical 18th century garden. A third group went to Maple Ridge Assisted Living and played games with the residents. There was a group helping to restock shelves at Aunt Dot's Place, and lastly a group that cleaned up the trails at Westford Elementary School.
The Paint Our Story event was part of a successful series of large and small events planned and supported by the EWSD Multilingual Advisory Council that took place this year. Artist and EWSD Multilingual Liaison Julio Desmont led a group of EWSD families and staff in creating a beautiful mural. The mural surfaces the story of how we each bring our unique, lived experiences towards the center of our community, and how the community also supports us. 🎨🖌️
