EHS and CTE were honored as gold-level asthma-friendly schools for 2025-26. Nurse Alyssa Jacobs was singled out for her efforts in helping both schools earn this honor.

EWSD serves approximately 4,000 pre-K-12th grade students across three communities: Essex Town, City of Essex Junction, and Westford.

In the EWSD, educational equity means that every child receives whatever they need to develop their full academic and social potential and to thrive every day.
EDUCATORS
EWSD employs 489 licensed educators. Over 27% of our educators have more than 15 years of teaching in our district, while over 37% have been hired since the merger.
SCHOOL BOARD
Governed by a 10-member School Board, whose members are volunteers elected by our resident communities. Two high school student representatives also participate in board discussions.

When we deepen our commitment to each other and to continuous growth for every one, then our practices create equitable, authentic, inclusive learning experiences that benefit all students.
