Fourth and fifth graders created Batik Mantra Flags for their first project this year. They were asked, “What encouraging words would you say to yourself or someone else?” After determining their mantra, they created their design that went along with the mantra. Once their design was complete, they had to transfer their design to fabric, trace it with glue, paint their entire flag, wash the flag, and finally edit their piece using fabric markers. It was a long process, but they did a wonderful job!"
