This year, Westford hosted its Fine Arts Festival at Westford Common Hall (WCH) as a community celebration of creativity! They partnered with the Westford Common Hall board and received a VT Community Foundation Spark Connecting Community Grant.
Spark grants put the building and nurturing community front and center. Through this grant, they could install a gallery wall hanging system with lighting to showcase artwork. Students were thrilled to see their artwork in a space that felt like a real art museum. The aim of hosting the festival at this location was to increase positive social connectivity in Westford and captivate a wider audience beyond the school community.
WCH is a neutral and accessible space that can attract diverse visitors. Westford School wanted to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where students, families, friends, and community members could come together to appreciate and support the artistic endeavors of their students.
