The EWSD invites all community members, parents, students, and staff to participate in a series of virtual engagement sessions regarding the proposed FY '27 school budget. These sessions are an essential part of our commitment to transparency around financial planning. We will be offering multiple opportunities to understand, discuss, and provide feedback on the budget priorities that shape our students' education.
All sessions will be held virtually via Google Meet and will run for one hour. Up to two meetings may be held in person, with the location to be announced. The first 10-15 minutes will cover the topic for that meeting, and then the remaining time will be available for community members to ask questions to the Board.
The first meeting will take place on Thursday, January 8, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Join the meeting using this link. This meeting will cover an overview of the budget structure, funding sources (State, Federal, Local), and key financial terminology.
There will also be engagement sessions on January 22, February 5, and February 19.
