Two ADL students, William and Rai, co-wrote a grant and were awarded $2000 through Unsung Heroes. They proposed to plant trees around the Essex Junction community to improve the environment, mental health, and bring more beauty to the community.
They worked with the Essex Junction Tree Advisory Committee to figure out which trees to plant and determine locations. Then, they partnered with Hiawatha to plant some trees with the kindergarteners for Arbor Day.
