ADL 7th graders played the game Floats & Anchors during math class to learn about adding and subtracting integers to kick off their rational numbers unit! 👏👏

First-semester STEM internship classes presented their work to family, friends, and fellow students. Some places where students interned are the Mountain View Animal Hospital, UVM Medical Center, Prolytix, and Saint Michael's Neuroscience Department. The EHS STEM Academy thanks all community partners who made this a valuable experience for the students!

Sarah Marcotte from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory virtually visited CTE's Pre-Tech 2 English class (and a few students from Engineering) to learn about what's happening on Mars. This follows a research unit in which a few students chose to focus on space. Sarah walked through the developments of current and past Mars rovers and discussed how core samples are taken from the planet in preparation for transport back to Earth for study. They also learned about the craters and water basins left behind from a time when Mars was abundant with water. 🚀🚀

Ms. English's 5th grade class participated in a Four Winds Winter lesson, where they discussed ecosystems, habitats, and winter tracking of common wildlife in our area. Students were able to investigate deer skeletons, hoofs, and pelts! Students also performed a skit to learn more about food webs. 🦌❄️👏
