Essex Middle School is hosting a Parent Night for new EMS families to attend. On Tuesday, May 19, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the EMS gym, parents and guardians will be welcomed by Principal Clark, learn about EMS academics, clubs and athletics, and receive a tour of the school. This meeting is not intended for students.

A group of ADL eighth-graders visited Washington, D.C., over the break with EJRP. During the trip, the students had a chance to meet Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders!

EHS Business Club members visited ADL to present financial literacy lessons to the 8th graders. They visited all of the 8th-grade math classes and did a great job presenting a lesson on "Needs vs. Wants" using Next Generation Personal Finance curriculum resources.

EHS and CTE hosted their annual Hiring Fair! 30 organizations attended, looking for part-time and full-time employees! 👏👏
The Westford Elementary preschoolers explored a classic Vermont spring tradition, maple sugaring! 🍁 A special guest teacher showed them how to tap trees and helped tap two nearby maple trees. The students collected sap, did a taste test, and wrapped up their learning with a shared community meal, making and enjoying pancakes together.
EHS student Scarlett Cannizzaro was recognized as a Presidential Scholar in the Arts during the Vermont Agency of Education's annual recognition ceremony for the 2026 Presidential Scholar program at the Vermont Statehouse.
The ADL team that competed and won the Jr. Iron Chef Competition was invited to the Statehouse in Montpelier, where they were recognized for their achievement, met their local representatives, and toured the Statehouse.
The EWSD Multicultural Advisory Council hosted an International Cooking Series called Yemeni Kabsa. This was a free cooking class and tasting, put on by Yalla Eats Catering. Yemeni food was featured with vibrant spices of the Middle East.
