There is no school on Thursday, October 22, for Caregiver Teacher Conferences. Conferences are from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Conferences are virtual and by appointment only.
The Heavenly Food Pantry, located at the First Congregational Church on Main Street in Essex Junction, will be open to families residing in Essex, Essex Junction, and Westford on Thursday, October 22, from 3-6 p.m.
On Wednesday, October 21, conferences are in person from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Wednesday’s conferences are arena-style and teachers will be located in the gym, library, and cafeteria. Caregivers will need their student’s schedule to determine which teachers to conference with. There will be assistance for those needing help accessing PowerSchool for schedules.

The EWSD Music Department presents the Band Prism Concert! 🎻🎷 Students from grades 7-12 will be performing together on Tuesday, October 13, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the EHS Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.
🗓️ The EWSD Special Education Parent Advisory Council will host a virtual meeting on Monday, October 12, beginning at 6 p.m. All are invited to attend. During this meeting, you will hear updates from the EWSD administration, identify priorities for the year ahead, and discuss what matters most to the EWSD community. Motivational speaker Nick Tokman recently visited the EWSD and spoke with students at EHS/CTE, EMS, and ADL, as well as a session for interested caregivers. 👍 Tokman shared strategies and resources focused on dealing with negative influences & peer pressure, removing distractions & staying focused on life goals, overcoming adversity & leveraging failure for success, and making better decisions for themselves.
The EWSD Music Department presents the Fall Prism Concert! ADL, EMS, and EHS choir students will come together to perform on Wednesday, October 14, in the EHS Auditorium, beginning at 7 p.m. 🎶🎤
Our EWSD Facilities team recently completed Stop the Bleed training through a partnership with Essex Rescue and UVM Medical Center. This hands-on training gives our staff the knowledge and skills to respond to serious bleeding emergencies and help keep one another and our students safe until additional help arrives.
