AP Environmental science students at EHS spent weeks researching an environmental issue of their choice, collecting and analyzing data, writing abstracts and action plans, and communicating with experts in the field. Topics included fast fashion, electronic waste, PFAS pollution, environmental impacts of golf courses, microplastics, localvore eating, invasive species, urban blight, change in migratory bird patterns, and more! Students then had an opportunity to present their Capstone projects! 👏👏 #EWSD

** Please be advised ... On Thursday, June 29 the Essex Police Department will be holding an annual training session at Essex High School between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be training signs posted outside of the building for this planned event.

The Essex Jazz Collective from EHS performed at the Firebird Cafe as a fundraiser for the high school band program. Community members came out to listen and eat dinner at five corners and enjoyed great music and food. 🎶#EWSD

The Peer Helper Club will be offering optional tours in late June and mid-August for new transfer students and incoming 9th graders. These tours are for students only. They are ideal for anyone who missed Step Up Day or who needs an additional walk around the building to feel more prepared to start high school next year.
