Students at FMS finished up their Dash robotics unit in their STEM class with Ms. Williams. Each grade level plans a trip with Dash and programs him to travel across a map. Third grade travels across the world stopping at all 7 continents. Fourth grade learns about time zones and stops at 2 States in each time zone. Fifth grade learns about the Western Hemisphere and travels across South America.

Westford's third and fourth grade students in literacy created Delights inspired by comic book illustrator and poet Grant Snider. They studied several of the original Delights to appreciate what this piece of art is- a visual representation of small bits of joy! Then they created their own in this same style.

EHS students in the Mathematics of Financial Literacy class are participating in a stock market contest. Students started with $100,000 and continued to keep track of their stocks.

A group of Thomas Fleming students are participating in a “battery blitz challenge,” encouraging students to learn about recycling batteries and get more involved. Students have placed boxes at local businesses (Boxcar Bakery, Brownell Library, and Firebird Cafe) and at the school, as they are encouraging community members to drop off their old batteries at one of these locations so that they can be recycled properly.

Two Essex High School bowlers, Jordan Tucker and Aurora Norris, recently competed in the Vermont USBC Youth Bowling Championship held at Valley Bowl in Randolph, Vermont. Aurora Norris rolled the high score of the tournament by throwing a 234. Jordan Tucker finished in first place in the U18 girls division by averaging 187 pins over 6 games and will be moving on to represent the state of Vermont at the National Youth Bowling Championships which will be held in Green Bay, Wisconsin this July.

EES kindergarten classes participated in the annual Alphabet Parade, where kindergarten students walked through EES singing songs they've learned while wearing headbands they created! It's the EWSD's third annual Operations Appreciation Week! From Child Nutrition workers and Transportation staff to Maintenance and Facility Technicians, Finance and HR, to the Technology Department, let's take a moment to thank the operational team that works tirelessly every day, alongside our instructional staff, to prepare for and support nearly 3,400 students. Let us celebrate and appreciate their commitment to our educational community!
